Ambiga and the civil society held a press conference condemning Ismail Sabri on the following grounds:
1) Ismail’s statement is bad for nation building
2) The statement does not promote peace. I quote:
“It is paramount to safeguard the peace and harmony of our nation at all times.”
3) Ismail failed to abide by the King’s decree to put nation first. Ambiga and her group firmly stood by the Agong’s statement calling for:
“All parties …to refrain from making any statement or action that might be deemed provocative or sensitive.”
Ismail’s failure to abide by the King’s above decree is utterly reprehensible to them and I quote:
“It is abundantly clear that minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob has forgotten, or worst still, has chosen to blatantly ignore the wise words of His Majesty.”
Based on the above Ismail must resign.
Let us recap recent incidences. A few weeks back, one of their civil society group leader, Eric Paulsen of the NED funded Lawyers for Liberty made an outrageous blatant lie that all khutbah of Jakim promotes terrorism. Muslims who have, every Friday, heard khutbah after khutbah on topics from helping flood victims to keeping our hygiene to condemning ISIL found Paulsen’s statement a highly contemptuous lie and a bigoted affront to Islam and the religious authority.
Then recently as well, there was an art exhibition in Singapore by Vincent Leong depicting in the order normally found in government offices and classes, the pictures of the Agong’s and the Permaisuri’s back and bottom instead of their faces with a clear intent to insult our nationhood and monarch. Now did Ambiga and the civil society ever at any time condemn Eric and Vincent for expressing matters against nation-building?
Did they ever argue that what Eric and Vincent did was not in the interest of peace or harmony of our nation?
Did they ever ask Eric and Vincent to refrain from making any statement or action that might be deemed provocative or sensitive?
Did they in fact ever condemn the contempt and insult of our Agong and Permaisuri by Vincent?
Did they ever at any point of time ask Eric to resign?
No to all is it not. They don’t even have the courtesy to defend institution of our Agong at all yet pretend to abide by Agong’s decree to condemn those whom they disagree with, for not following it.
Why are they selective? Is it because Eric is one of them and a crony? Is it because those affected are Muslims?
These civil groups are part of the mess in our nation with their partisan selective and bias stand. They provoke and have taken many sensitive actions on various occasions.
If they are sincere in being inclusive as they always proclaim, withdraw their support and/or action in the courts and UNHRC challenging the constitutional compromise on Islam and Malay.
This only threatens the peace and harmony of our nation. Put the nation’s interest above all first. Don’t play this duplicitous game of doing the opposite what you’re saying.

Take any viral posting for that matter. So a civilian’s word is just as imPortant as a minister’s word in protecting racial harmony. Anything which goes viral, has a great impact on people’s minds.
oh yes, that super bitch ambiga always practices selective condemnation. if the perceived victim is a non-malay/muslim & the perceived offender is a malay/muslim, she’ll be super quick to open her big loose mouth to bash & censure the latter. but if the victim is islam/malay/muslim, she’ll become a mute ambiga, as though she has lost her tongue. I’m glad that dato’ ismail mentioned the word chinese when referring to those greedy & selfish traders. everyone got jolted. even though probably less than 50% of the chinese are traders, more than 90% of the traders who hold the public for ransom [those who determine the prices of non-controlled goods] are chinese. and that, not to mention their sabotage of malay and indian traders who try to disrupt their monopolies.
